Incredibly well written, Audrey Valcourt is a born storyteller. On top of that, her ability to convey a vast array of emotions in a short period of time showcases her talent as a dynamic performer. With this solo piece, Audrey manages to create an allegory for love and loss; finding community, and finding oneself.... full review

This was such a wonderful show. Very powerful message. I also loved the whole part where the vampire tried to kill themself. That was very entertaining. ... full review

This is a beautiful story about discovering who you are, and finding your people. There's a reveal toward the end that I won't give away, but I was really surprised and moved by where the story took me. Audrey is such a strong performer, she owned that space. ... full review

Phenomenal performance and amazing experience. Audrey Valcourt’s solo show, VAMPIRE NIGHTCLUB 1983, is fresh, creative, and so piercing. Held in an intimate space at The Broadwater, it really connects with the heart of The Hollywood Fringe Festival. This show is not to be missed! Check it out, it’s lovely.... full review

Vampire Nightclub, 1983 beautifully captures 80s nightlife while painting bittersweet portraits of "young" vampires wanting to live their lives to the fullest. Audrey Valcourt shares nothing but love for the people who once lived in a decade that shunned the voices of marginalized groups.... full review

Audrey Valcourt’s Vampire Nightclub, 1983 is genuinely one of the coolest and most moving pieces of theatre that I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. A gorgeous allegory for queerness that transcends time (because, you know, vampires), it manages to make you both laugh at its relatability and cry at its reality. It’s always exciting to see LGBTQ+ identities represented onstage, especially when portrayed in such an authentic and vulnerable way by a queer writer. Furthermore, Audrey’s stamina while playing several characters and dancing is a masterclass in acting for theatre. After having seen the first preview, I have high hopes that this show will only get better and better, and I’m thrilled to see what they’ll do next. A must see.... full review
