Meg Cashel’s performance as Hedda was electric – she and director Hailey McAfee tapped directly into the stark, raw and unadorned nature of Marber’s translation (great choice by the way). The entire cast was wonderful but Cashel as well as Conor Murphy’s Brack really stood out in this utilization of the text to beautifully unsettling ends.

My overall impression
An outstanding iteration of this classic in Fringe form. Particularly appreciated McAfee’s embrace of theatricality at key moments and in the expression of the space itself, which elevated what can be a very “standard” play into a place of immediacy, imagination and raw honesty. Well done!
