What I liked

The Director did an outstanding job building up tension and conflict among the characters. The seemingly effortless acting seized the irony in each character’s miserable condition and yielded a veritable explosion of frustration and despair. Theater at its best. Big thank you to the entire creative team.

What I didn't like

Tesman’s character came across more comical than the situation warranted. I would suggest to add a layer of rage to Tesman’s servility and a bit of sardonic tinge to his affection for Hedda. The dialogue could be made tighter and slightly more vicious, but all in all, the play worked and it was a pleasure to watch. Thank you.

My overall impression

An intense and imaginative adaptation of Ibsen’s masterpiece. Superb performances by all the actors. A powerful meditation on the nature of love, sex and power.
