What I liked
I really liked the overall message of the very actual debate : can we truly separate the art from the artist ? It paints a picture of a man whose influence in literature is undeniable while being to today’s standards a hateful man. How can we combine the two ? Can genius be morally correct ? I left this show thinking about my position on these questions and reflecting on my own values and the art I still hold dear to my heart despite the creators …
What I didn't like
I would love to see the other characters on stage ! It would be perhaps even more isolating to not be alone on stage.
My overall impression
Incredible show. It breaks the traditional codes of storytelling while still being easy to follow and captivating. We see Casey evolve as himself and Lovecraft and inviting other characters which made this solo-show feel like a 6 people show!
