After the show ended, my face was completely messed up. As Gail performed and her story unfolded, the authenticity, honesty, and pain, and anguish deeply moved me to the point where I couldn't hold back my tears. Gail is a talented storyteller who can connect with the audience in the most intimate way, and I was completely immersed in her story for the entire 50 minutes, laughing and crying, unable to even flinch. The stage setup was clean and minimalistic, with no unnecessary elements, and a single chair was sufficient. It was Gail's presence that filled the space. ... full review

Gail Thomas is a talented actress who I have known mainly from her work on a series I produced called Beavis & Butt-Head. A consummate professional, versatile and easy to direct, she was a favorite actor of both Mike Judge and myself from the earliest days of the series. Gail's harrowing experience in PATIENT 13 is both heartbreaking and hilarious. She recounts her story with such honesty and vulnerability that the audience can't help but feel for her but she has the gift for finding the humor in even the darkest of situations so much so we cried with laughter. Her performance is so engaging we all felt like we were sitting down with a friend. We left the theater feeling both uplifted, inspired and CONNECTED and wanting Magic Mushrooms.
