Small things like Gail’s choice of language and tone, the way the lighting shifted the mood of the scenes, and the very casual feeling of the venue. The show does great at taking advantage of its simplicity.
What I didn't like
It took me some time to get used to the show and understand the bigger picture, but I do understand that slower build up is necessary for the ending to be satisfying.
My overall impression
Patient 13 was an incredibly intimate and vulnerable experience. Gail Thomas is an amazing storyteller, and I felt like I was talking to an old friend at several points. It took some time for me to fully engage, but by the end I was practically begging to hear more.
