What I liked

I loved the variety shows we got to see. But my personal favorite was Rhythm Delivered. That was was so much fun and deserving of a huge stage and audience.

What I didn't like

I wish the space used for the Pick of the Fringe was bigger. The shows felt a little cramped, but they were still able to make it work.

My overall impression

The Fringe was STRONG this year!! The six selections were a great example of the diverse entertainment you get in this Hollywood showcase of brilliance. “Things to Avoid in a Eulogy” had so much heart in a story that is obviously heartbreaking. “I Can’t Indian Good” is hilarious, impressive, and educational all at once. “Runaway Rue” is a great puppet show that is suitable for all ages, but also teaches a great lesson about change. “The Allure of Thuglife” is a hysterical satire of a privileged black girl longing for life in the hood. “A Restrospection” is shocking, uncomfortable, and melancholy in a brilliant and hilarious one-woman demonstration of the absurd. And finally, “Rhythm Delivered” is a spectacle of tap dance, drumming, and comedy that will leave you clapping, stomping, and yearning for more. Incredible Fringe this year, and I can’t wait to see where these shows go next!
