What I liked

My favorite stories are the ones that delve into pain through comedy. The only way out is through so why not include laughs where you can? Alex expertly utilizes space and tech in her piece to transport the audience into different points in her life. It’s clear that tons of work has been put into the script as it feels thoroughly developed. Alex’s take on her personal experience reminds me so much of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s work with Fleabag, which I personally feel is one of the best shows on television.

What I didn't like

This did not take away from my viewing experience at all, but if done again, I would love to see how the latter section of the piece would shift were props utilized the same way they were earlier on. Solely out of curiosity!

My overall impression

Alex Ryan delivers a performance that is filled with nuance, love, and heartbreak. This piece will have you thinking long after the show ends. I cannot wait to watch this show again.
