Sif said she’d be gone a month. It’s been three.

“You find yourself back at the beginning…”

Randy’s hunt for his wife leads him to a talking heart, which goads him deeper into its dark chambers with promises of the truth.

“Please proceed to the right atrium…”

Why did she leave? Did he do something wrong? Did something happen? …is she here? Always remember: We all return to the beginning.

Escaped Recluse returns to the Hollywood Fringe Festival, whose previous works here include the fantastical Anna St. Hesia Dreams (2019), the surprisingly heartfelt Sunbathe in Darkness (2019), and the manic How to Be Lazy and Not Feel Guilty (2018). Following our tradition of grounding absurdity in resonant imagery, Heart of Golden Tar is not to be missed.
