I loved how much I could relate to it. I teach drama, I too moved to another country to pursue a theatrical life, Australia actually, so I connected with the people he talked about having dated aussies and having been that foreigner drinking in tbe culture of another world I loved the way he told his story. I was almost worried I was laughing too loud or too much.
What I didn't like
I can’t think of anything. The only thing that would have been better would be becoming his best friend afterward. You just don’t want him to stop talking in this show, so maybe, longer? Getting to meet him would have rocked, but I respect that he didn’t want that attention, especially after seeing the guys autograph stalking him out on the street after the show, I don’t blame him for slipping out asap afterward. I have total respect for him for that.
My overall impression
Brilliantly funny storytelling of the most life changing amd intimate moments of a young man’s life. Don’t go expecting Coach Beard. Go expecting wit and hilarity completely unmatched to any other character.
