The ease with which the actors switched gears and how smoothly the play flowed, in whatever direction it went. Because the action is dictated by audience choices at specific junctures, as an audience member it’s a kick to be part of the process. Meanwhile, the actors inhabit their various characters with admirable commitment and (at times) shameless intimacy.
What I didn't like
Um … nothing, really. It was a great afternoon at the theatre.
My overall impression
This play is pure crazy fun. Clever and unpredictable, HILARIOUS and smart. If dating apps existed in the 1500s, Shakespeare’s audiences would have loved this. It captures his innate snark, wisdom and humor. Wonderfully facile, inventive actors in every role, keenly and bravely directed. Bravo all.
