What I liked
Hailey has you in the palm of her hand, commanding the intimate space from the moment she connects with the audience before taking you on her relentless and merciless journey. It is truly a masterclass in stage acting. The direction by Rosie Glen-Lambert is nuanced, deliberate, and clever; she carefully moves the audience through all the twists and turns of Effie’s story without giving it away.
What I didn't like
The toilet flushing and sounds from other shows were distracting in moments but didn’t take away from the overall effect of the show. It clearly didn’t phase Hailey or the overall production.

If you are interested in seeing a show that is uncomfortable, alive, and utilizes the magic of what theatre is at its core – GO SEE THIS SHOW! I was floored. Hailey McAfee delivers a sociopolitical gut punch to the audience in her specific and masterful performance of Effie. I guarantee you will leave the show with a match lit for vital questions and conversations.
