What I liked

Hailey McAfee is an absolute magician. This is NOT your typical one-person show, as the action is woven with a subtle, stripped-down specificity that makes it feel as though it is an ensemble piece, despite the fact that Hailey plays only one character. Hailey’s masterful acting, along with Rosie Glen-Lambert’s direction, sound design by Padra Crisafulli, and lighting design by Brandon Blum, build a world that is almost filmic in its natural quality—-something I never thought possible in a one-person show. This allows the audience to take in the story, never for a moment distracted by a forced device or choice. It is utterly meticulous storytelling.

What I didn't like

nothing

My overall impression

The story is fucked up—-visceral, gag-inducing, and very sad—-But it’s also laugh-out-loud HILARIOUS. It reminds me of Martin McDonagh and Trainspotting, so if you like that sort of thing you will LOVE this. It had me feeling a lot, laughing a lot, and floored by the mastery of it all!
