Extremely well written and very honest. Right from the get go it's hard not to be captivated by Hailey's character Effie. Hailey is on fire in this show as she takes us through Effie's life, crazy lifestyle, and the bizarre characters in her life. We follow Effie as she moves through her life over the course of a couple days leading to an extremely heartfelt and brutal ending. The pacing is fast and in your face as Hailey brilliantly navigates the space, alternating between talking to the audience and interacting with the people in her story....

Do not miss this show. Hailey McAfee gives a knockout performance and Rosie Glen Lambert’s expert direction keeps the story clear, raw, moving and captivating. Playwright Gary Owen has crafted a play that is in turns funny, sexy, devastating, raunchy and deeply moving – through the very specific exploration of Effie’s life and an inflection point therein he illuminates broader social issues - not in a preachy way but in a way that sneaks up on you and will have you thinking about these people, this story, your own point of view for a long time to come. It’s a brilliant play and the entire team – including Brandon Blum (lighting design) and Padra Crisafulli (sound design) serve the writer masterfully.

This is a powerful, powerful piece of theatre. Not to mention, maybe, one of the best performances of the entire Fringe this year. My hats off to the entire team of Iphigenia!...

If you are interested in seeing a show that is uncomfortable, alive, and utilizes the magic of what theatre is at its core - GO SEE THIS SHOW! I was floored. Hailey McAfee delivers a sociopolitical gut punch to the audience in her specific and masterful performance of Effie. I guarantee you will leave the show with a match lit for vital questions and conversations. ...

This is a tour de force and performed by someone who has a deep connection to the material. Hailey performs this dense language with a simplicity and specificity that is really admirable. The direction- staging and technical was so imaginative and evocative!...

With her compelling interpretation, the very talented Hailey McAfee brings to life a complex character and her moving story. An entire world appears in front of us, and for 75 minutes we forget we are in a small black box theatre. This is the magic of theater, and it doesn't happen that often. Make yourself a gift, and go see this show!

Hailey grabs you by the throat and drags you along until it's all over and you walk out of the theatre blinking and bleary-eyed going... "was that really 75 minutes?" and then you need to have a drink because of what you just witnessed....
