Comic songs and prop work! Both are super hard to do well, and both were executed flawlessly.
What I didn't like
As a viewer at a distance I’d have loved a slightly higher-quality video in the long shots, but the limitations of technology are what they are!
My overall impression
One of my biggest problems with a lot of trans media (even those made by trans folks sometimes!) as a trans person is that there isn’t a lot of room for laughter and for joy. This is a whole house made of laughter and joy, and kindness to the person you were who had no idea this was coming, and celebration of an indefatigable community — you come away not just feeling like you went to go see historical trans folks, but like they too somehow saw you, and loved you the way you love them, as siblings and friends and partners. It makes you feel less alone.
And also it is so, SO funny. I too wish to be able to banish JK Rowling to 1610 by my trans time-traveling powers.
