I really liked the way the two threads weaved back and forth. And the use of JK Rowling as a foil, to sort of voice the overall concept of opposition was really interesting. Also Laser’s command of the stage, the way he unexpectedly incorporated so many props into the narrative was really fun.
What I didn't like
I wish the songs were longer? I understand Fringe shows especially are short on time and this show was very dense but I loved every song and then they were all over.
My overall impression
I thought it was a really fascinating trip through both real history and Laser’s own history. We need more stories of trans people and more attention for trans men especially and this accomplished that several times over.
