I loved how centered and grounded Laser was. It’s like you’re hanging out with this guy and he happens to be brilliant and funny, and he happens to know a lot about queer history. Buy not in a way that seems borrowed or recited. I felt that these were Laser’s histories, a part of him—and in a way, through his warm performance— they became part of me. I felt close. I felt intimate. I felt invited to history.
What I didn't like
Not sure what to write here. I’m not a critic. Just an enthusiastic theatre goer and actor. I also feel it’s best practice to see something at least three times before anything critical is said. I’ve seen Laser’s show once. And what I am left with is absolute joy. I feel like this is an important story and one that I’ve never seen before. One that is needed. One that is vital.
My overall impression
Warm, joyous, and full of the heart that I needed.
