What I liked

So many things, but the palpable energy of the audience, gasps and tears, connecting to this story is exactly why theatre is transformative. Dan is a commander of a ship here that nary goes off course, taking us from our own individual islands, feeling lost, to place and space where we feel our togetherness, we find each other.

Dan commanded the stage in a tour de force performance combining meticulous technical elements (audio and visual) with a profound story of personal redemption. His statements about American Christianity felt deeply honed and resonated with the entire audience.
