What I liked

Transcendent music exquisitely performed by an artist who has put a lot of thought into her impression of Joni. And you get to watch from just a few feet away! Just a joy to behold.

What I didn't like

Not really a suggestion for improvement, but the show represents Joni in the 70’s, so don’t expect to hear any of her jazzy later material. That said, the only thing I could want – aside from just making the show longer, I could listen to Rainee for hours – is to have some piano based songs.

My overall impression

A fine tribute to a great artist! A thoroughly enjoyable set of songs on dulcimer and both acoustic and electric guitars. And Rainee’s impression of Joni between songs (while readjusting her instruments due to her famously open tunings) had just the right amount of “aw shucks” that I remember from Joni at the Troubadour back in the day.
