Monologue work with specific themes and a meaningful arc. Alan’s thoughtfulness and attention to sharing his point-of-view lands in a tender way much like the inspiring performer Mike Birbiglia. I especially appreciated Alan’s commitment to sharing the vulnerable aspects of love and their relation to sex—he towed that line quite adeptly.
What I didn't like
My overall impression
You’ll love this show if you loved “Sleepless in Seattle.” In all seriousness, Alan (slutboy) is a fantastic writer/performer with a heartwarming style. They offer the audience a lot of laughs, oh my’s, and genuine care. It will be exciting to see how Slutboy evolves to meet larger audiences—I know it’s only a matter of time. I came!
