WHAT A TIME! I knew this was going to be good but Chris blew me away. The conceit for the show alone is so unique, so clever, but it's Chris' execution of it all that makes Prince Harry a stand out show. Chris' songwriting and singing ability is unmatched. Chris Chianesi’s one man musical was unbelievably entertaining and energetic and is true to the book Spare….although you don’t have to read the book to thoroughly enjoy Chris’s take on this extremely dysfunctional royal family! The show kept me laughing so much that my face hurt, and the original music was was so memorable, it left me humming the tunes as I left the theatre. I definitely see the similarities to the Broadway musical Hamilton and would not doubt that this musical has the potential to follow a similar trajectory as a highly successful “contemporary” historical take on the royal family. This was so funny and so fun to watch. It was like a cross between Austin Powers x Derek Zoolander. This show was just a catchy vibe filled with really funny (and true) commentary on Prince Harry.
