What I liked

Bingo is incredibly acted and directed, with pacing that never leaves you bored. Its themes are ones that everyone can relate to on some level, so I think everyone would enjoy it. I also really like how the playwright blended humor with some darker elements, creating something special that you don’t see every day.

My overall impression

Funny, edgy, gut-wrenching, and full of humanity, Bingo uses this well-loved game taking place at a nursing home to showcase the bingo caller’s descent into despair, which is brought to life impeccably by Newman’s amazing acting. I know that doesn’t sound hilarious, but it often is! With commentaries on life, love, relationships, aging, making mistakes, and just being human, Bingo packs a lot into its 1 hour run, with never a dull moment. Go see this play!!!
