The musical score creates interest in the story and is beautifully portrayed by all the actors, but especially Samantha Reed playing the strong character of Saskia. The richness of her voice is a true highlight of this production. Additionally, Robert Gallegos brought depth to his character with his strong vocal performance. This show is appropriate for all ages and is based on a book for middle grade students. It is a great conversation starter about our world, the effect of heightened emotions and trauma, and a future where control is exercised to a dangerous degree.
What I didn't like
At times the story was tricky to follow and may need a little more explanation.
My overall impression
Definitely worth seeing- a unique story with beautiful music. This new musical is a look into a dystopian future where people’s emotions are hidden from view by the wearing of a visor. It was an interesting show that moved quickly through the story.
