The writing. The acting. The physicality. The improv. I found it all excellent and deightful.
What I didn't like
I truly dont have any notes on anything to improve.
My overall impression
Flayed is a must-see show. As simple as that. I went in not knowing much more than it was a one-man play about a young pastor coming to terms with his sexuality. What I got was a hilarious, inventive and heartbreakingly poignant trip. Josiah commands the stage and is in utter-control of the audience (whom he employs throughout the show with often hilarious results!). It is so honest and true and painful. And beautiful. “Flayed” holds up a mirror to contemporary “evangelical Christianity” and the reflection is not very flattering. Josiah is a tour-de-force and “Flayed” is really something special.
