I think people who weren’t condemned to early life in hyper-religious small town America can identify the vibe and tone perfectly through the performance. Those of us from those spots of the country can “yikes” along.

My overall impression
Flayed was a powerful treat. Josiah cycles thru equally compelling characters sharing something deeply personal, relatable, and painfully human. I laughed hard and tried very hard not to cry in front of strangers at the end 🙃
