What I liked
I loved Josiah’s ability to improvise at a moment’s notice. Every performance, he is interacting with a different crowd and leaving space for them to respond in a number of ways. His ability to receive that information and process it in a hilarious and clear way is amazing. His character work was impeccable. The transitions, his work with the audio, the themes brought up. It was technically done well and it was acted with a lot of confidence, joy, and grace!
What I didn't like
The only thing I could contribute to this question is to say Josiah needs MORE dates. This is an important show with a valuable message. I have several friends who have expressed wanting to see this show, but have been unable due to work schedules. If there was a way to make this a staple for a bit, I think the Fringe or whoever would pick it up would benefit greatly from continuing to house Josiah and his brilliance.
My overall impression
I was thoroughly impressed with the talent and ability Josiah showcased through this show. A 1 1/2 hour one-man show with no intermission?! INCREDIBLE. His ability to weave multiple stories and character experiences to communicate a clear message of acceptance was beautiful. I would recommend seeing this ASAP.
