The premise, the mermaid, the seamless transitions, the ease and variant nature of the audience interaction, the psychological terror, the nakedness, the virtuosity, and SO MUCHMORE.
What I didn't like
stupid.
My overall impression
Here’s the deal: Josiah is a force to be reckoned with. This play is internal and external—-presentational and real—-past and present—-homoerotic and heteronormative—-gut-busting funny and gut-wrenching raw. The perspective he has on such relatively recent events blows me away, the depth of which feels like it should require years of distance. I don’t want to spoil too much content because the element of surprise was HUGE for me in this piece. I’m in awe of this guy! Where the hell did he come from? HE’S GOINGPLACESBABYYY.
