A large, red digital clock is an exigent conductor, controlling the rhythm of the show. The story begins with the clock starting its countdown and ends precisely when time runs out— at the moment our protagonists turn 18.
A Minor Inconvenience tells two stories, woven and connected as one. The show explores the experience of coming of age in different generations. Two girls turning 18: one in Asia, planning a new life, and her daughter in the United States, finding her place.
