What I liked

A FANTASTICALLY FUNNY show with comedy for every occasion – from the wonderfully edgy, dark humor of the monologues which brilliantly skewer current hot topics (book banning in Florida, transphobic laws in Texas), to an outrageously brutal first date plagued by explosive flatulence; followed by the wickedly funny pharmacist from hell, and ending with an uproarious funeral packed with a series of highly inappropriate eulogies – NEO Ensemble unapologetically struts their exceptionally comedic stuff and we are all left laughing – a LOT! Loved this show!

What I didn't like

The Three Clubs location could do a LOT better. The intense music from the bar on the other side of the performance space was obnoxious and unnecessarily loud. I felt bad for the performers, all of whom valiantly compensated vocally. I heard one of the cast ask the bartender in the club on the other side of the performance space to turn down the music during the show, and he refused. To make matters worse, just a few feet from where I was seated, the bartender entered the performance space and violently shoveled gallons of ice during the first scene, making so much noise it sounded like he was smashing trash cans together. The managers/bartenders of the Three Clubs venue seemed to have zero respect for the performers on stage and did almost nothing to accommodate them or their audience during their performance. It’s a tribute to the NEO Ensemble actors that they kept the audience laughing, despite the excessive volume of music coming from the club on the other side of the wall.

My overall impression

Hilarious! It’s so much fun to watch! A wide variety of humorous scenes and two hilarious but biting monologues about various “inappropriate” situations that kept the audience laughing.
