Watching Summer is seamless. Her writing is impeccable, her performance is stellar, and her comedic timing is nothing less than perfect. The overall production of the show was so well thought out—every moment was deserved. This show is an hour, but felt like 5 minutes, and to me, that is the utmost tale of success. On top of this, her connection and communication with the audience was incredible. She knows how to read the room, and it is so fun to watch. Job well done Summer! And the turkey. I had to mention the turkey.
What I didn't like
Nothing.
My overall impression
What can I say: when you see a work of complete and utter genius, it’s hard to describe how it made you feel, what you thought, etc. But here today, I will try. Summer has taken something so personal and turned it into a work of art everyone in the audience can either understand, or empathize with, while laughing the entire way through. Her ability to to perform, to write, to produce, and to provide a spectrum of emotions is innate and it is such a pleasure to see her work. I laughed, I cried, and I laughed again.
