My overall impression
Wow. I was very impressed with this innovative production. It’s impossible to talk about this thrilling play without heavily spoiling some key details about the story, but I can promise you that you will be surprised by the incredible twists and turns that this play takes you on throughout its journey. The play had a lovely balance of tense drama and comedy, all of this under the umbrella of the very important topics that the play tackles courageously. I have seen many plays that try and tackle gender politics, and this is perhaps the production that best explored the nuances of gender politics and culture in a fair, creative, and non-preachy manner. I highly recommend this production. The acting was consistently on point and it is very clear that the entire cast is in love with the material. I feel that the script is very strong and I would not be surprised if it continued to have incredible runs long after this festival.
