Wow. I was very impressed with this innovative production. It's impossible to talk about this thrilling play without heavily spoiling some key details about the story, but I can promise you that you will be surprised by the incredible twists and turns that this play takes you on throughout its journey. The play had a lovely balance of tense drama and comedy, all of this under the umbrella of the very important topics that the play tackles courageously. I have seen many plays that try and tackle gender politics, and this is perhaps the production that best explored the nuances of gender politics and culture in a fair, creative, and non-preachy manner. The Box was a smart, well acted, seriously funny play that I was pleasantly surprised to see. Stephen and Alice are especially strong in their performances and a joy to watch as their relationship slowly at first spiraled to those dark places we desperately want to avoid. This is a play you don't want to miss. It's suspenseful, smart, with tight witty dialogue that has you on the edge of your seat while laughing. All three of the actors are outstanding with great comic timing and honest, heartfelt emotions.... full review
