What I liked
Chance clearly has an ability with movement that is beyond adequate. I appreciate that the show was short- the length of the performance lended itself well to the work.
What I didn't like
To be blunt- my partner and I noticed that the performer gave off a self indulgent energy. The word that comes to mind is pretentious. There were good ideas that seem to have not been fully thought out- the vocal moments in the piece were a bit off putting and felt unnecessary. I believe the performer could embody a deeper state of vulnerability.
My overall impression
A thoughtful piece that offers a commendable amount of effort. For me, it missed the mark.
