The absence of a set and props, leaves the audience completely transfixed to the solo performance of a myriad of action, sound effects and visuals. Who needs a multi-million dollar budget? Riley Smith makes this show come alive through his boundless joy, talent and creativity… as well as his very effective lighting director (and of course, his outfit).
What I didn't like
I can only hope that there is a Part 2 and 3 at the next Fringe.
My overall impression
This show is a joyful, breath-taking, and unbelievably energetic homage to the Lord of the Rings. Riley Smith wins your heart over in the first 5 minutes and leaves you uplifted with a renewed belief in humanity!
