What I liked

The play itself is a winner, so it’s worth it to come see the writing alone if you’ve never had the chance to see this show, but the actors elevate the experience. Their choices were fascinating; definitely watching people who excel at what they do.

They staging was also a treat. Difficult to accomplish for Fringe shows, but the set design and prop-work was also very artfully done to transport the audience into the world of the play.

What I didn't like

I’d love to see what this production could do with a bigger budget, more robust set design, longer run, etc., but as far as the production goes, no notes.

My overall impression

This production was awesome. I came in with pretty high expectations and it exceeded them. It’s obvious why the play was a finalist for the Pulitzer, but this performance matched the material. The actors were delightful to watch. Their performances were fluid, nuanced, and grounded even in the play’s more heightened and absurd moments. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to catch a show this Fringe. Put it at the top of your list!
