The dialogue is charming and realistic, and the dynamic between the 3 actor ensemble is clear and tight. It’s a simple story, but heartfelt, and you can feel that the playwright loved writing these characters.
What I didn't like
I do wish the play delved a little more into Cas’s backstory. There is a revelation by the end, but I think we could understand her a little more. I’d say the same could be said for Priya.
My overall impression
Ghosts Can’t Pay Rent is cute and charming, and will pull at anyone’s heartstrings. It is a tale of missed opportunities and second chances. My only wish is that it was longer.
