Shelton’s voice, deeply patient through the ballads suddenly and unexpectedly packs a wallop of authority and protest over social inequities of the times.
What I didn't like
Wouldn’t it be so cool and hip if the show’s venue made it more like Vegas? Maybe cocktails for the audience too? ;)
My overall impression
Shelton delivers a wonderfully complex snapshot of “Ol’ Blue Eyes” rendering a tapestry of the vulnerability, passion and honor with the colorful cynicism you’d expect from the megastar in his 3rd chapter.
