What business do you have calling yourself Indian when you speak no Hindi, know nothing about Indian culture, your family is from Fiji, your first name is English and your last name is made up? But you also can’t just call yourself American without getting some amount of side-eye? “I Can’t Indian Good” is a comedic solo show written and performed by Brandon Raman, a first generation Indian-American with zero ties to India, exploring how someone can build a sense of personal identity when you feel culturally adrift. When you don’t know who you are or where you come from, you might just need a carpooling herd of (imaginary) ancestors to help you figure it out.

“Raman’s brilliant storytelling abilities are equally matched by his flawless comedic timing, sense of urgency, and character shifts as he plays all the men and woman who visit him throughout the early morning. And honestly, his martial arts/dance skills are simply off the charts awesome. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.” – Tracey Paleo, Gia On The Move

“Brandon Raman is a force of nature. Hilarious, brutally honest, rather handsome and an outrageously gifted storyteller.” -NoHoArtsDistrict.com

Brandon Raman is a performer/writer from the Bay Area who takes his comedy so seriously that it’s impossible for him to be funny. Professional acting credits include NCIS LA on CBS, Brooklyn Nine-Nine on NBC, 9-1-1 on FOX, and more including commercial work for Pepsi, Amazon, and Madden. Catch him performing with his sketch comedy team every other month at The Pack Theater.
