My overall impression
Totally hear you on the “I didn’t realize I had this much” feeling — moving really exposes how wild our wardrobes have gotten! The best thing I did was sort everything by category first: daily wear, formal, off-season, and donate/sell. For stuff like suits, dresses, and coats, I used wardrobe boxes — they’re pricier but save you from ironing later. For regular clothes, rolling works great to save space and avoid wrinkles (especially with cotton and knits). Vacuum-seal bags are a lifesaver for bulky sweaters and jackets too. I also labeled each box with not just the room, but the type of clothing inside, which helped a ton when unpacking. This guide on how to pack clothes when moving was honestly my go-to — it walks you through exactly what to use, what to fold or hang, and even what not to pack right away. Super clear and practical!
