With a background in stand-up comedy and Improv, Andy Wasif has built a large portfolio of work in a variety of media. His screenplay The 70-Year Itch was optioned by Amazon Studios and developed with acclaimed director Donald Petrie, his comedy book Red Sox Fans are From Mars, Yankees Fans are From Uranus was named a Boston Globe bestseller, his hit short film Adult Puberty (starring Golden Globe and Tony Award winner Barry Bostwick) screened at festivals throughout North America, and his New Girl spec sitcom script was a Final Draft Big Break contest runner-up out of 7000 scripts. His Amazon Author’s Page boasts another six books including Will Beg for Dignity, a book of hilarious personal essays, and Don’t Talk Sports at the Dinner Table, a compilation of his best essays from his page on Yahoo! Sports entitled Wasif’s World. He recently earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University. Andy lives with his dog Parsley, who charges him rent.
