A one man musical about the legendary Sam Cooke. The more you learn about the Cooke saga, the more you see that his story needed to be told. More than a recollection of his hit songs, it’s an undeniable everlasting legacy cut short in his prime and buried under Los Angeles racial tensions and police corruption. As important today as it was the day Sam Cooke died. It’s the story of his service in church, his rise to fame, the stifling of his genius, and the awakening of his social conscience. It’s about the struggle, the music, the man – the Legacy secured and the Legacy denied.
