About the Project
Life would never be the same… I’d followed my dreams of being a comedian across the country, surviving on Costco samples and peanut butter, when I get a call that Mom, Ms. Independent, needs to, whether she wants to or not, depend on me for the rest of her life… 3000 miles away from the place where she was born, raised, and lived, during her 88 years of life.
Four months after flying back east, and going through every test, and every emotion, even losing my hair at one point, Mom was moved, to the other side of the earth, as far as she was concerned. Neither one of us was happy.
She wants to go home. She misses her friends.
I miss my home. I miss my friends.
She misses her mother.
“My mother’s waiting for me…”
“Okay, Mom. I’ll tell her we’re leaving right now.”
I miss my mother too.
