My overall impression
The show was funny and captivating from beginning to end! I was literally sitting at the edge of my seat — every single moment — waiting to see how Mélia’s story unfolds. The rap lyrics were hilarious, the themes of race, bullying, and socioeconomic status were explored in nuanced ways, and the navigation between our teenage desires/dreams and the will of our parents was something so many people can relate to (myself included!). THE ALLURE OF THUG LIFE IS A MUST-SEE!!
