What I liked
As a Bay Area kid, I loved all the references. The specificity and detail that Melia puts into the writing sincerely portray Melia’s love for her hometown, which will enamor you as well.
What I didn't like
Melia raps for like 50% of the show and my only note would be to bump that up to a solid 90%. I just want more Melia raps.
My overall impression
Melia’s originality and charm are in full display in “The Allure of Thug Life”. Melia guides us through some heavy subjects like racism, classism, and interracial prejudice with wit and humor. Melia is a true talent and I cannot wait to see more.
