What I liked

Ryan Lisman’s monologistic performance of Son was seamlessly natural, yet charged with emotion and occasional dark humor — a tricky balancing act. The supporting cast — Steve Voldseth (Father), Lauren Holiday (Mother), and Isabelle Hahn ((Actress) — embodied their characters perfectly, adding further dimension to the heartbreaking narrative.

Kudos also to DamonMcKinnis for his thoughtful and coherent direction.

What I didn't like

Can’t think of a thing. Going to go home and cry now.

My overall impression

Absolutely knocked out by this incredibly written story that explores how lives and relationships can be changed forever by one unanticipated moment of devastation. Ryan Lisman’s monologistic performance of Son is seamlessly natural, yet charged with emotion — no easy task. The supporting actors — Steve Voldseth (Father), Lauren Holiday (Mother), and Isabelle Hahn (Actress) — portrayed their characters beautifully while adding further dimension to the heartbreaking narrative.
