What I liked
The campy, over-the-top style of the play is not just hilarious, it’s also a loving homage to classic B-movies. The creative team has clearly done their homework and their affection for the genre shines through in every aspect of the production. The characters, while archetypal, have depth and undergo meaningful growth. Detective Palmer’s journey from disgraced animal detective to confident private investigator is compelling and satisfying.
