What I liked

Great casting for the characters, couldn’t imagine these roles played by anyone else. Care was given to making sure the characters were fully human, and not just a clear cut villain versus hero situation.

What I didn't like

The set is a bit wide at the moment, making it difficult for audiences on the far left and right to look to the opposite direction. There wouldn’t be much lost if the two ends were brought slightly closer together; you can trust the costumes and context to redefine the shared space.

My overall impression

Incredibly complex and layered story, simultaneously involving a near future where human existence is primarily virtual, as well as a Victorian-era setting that makes it feel like you are but an observer of time, unbound by dimensional constraints. Simple set and costume changes make it easy to jump into the story as it is, but make sure you get a central seat, as the full width of the stage is used. Overall, the story is engaging and at all times shocking; there is more unsaid than what is obvious, and good direction saves the audience from sensationalized violence. But don’t expect to come out of this safe and sound; you’ll be looking at your neighbors differently now!
