Judy Kain is perfection as the theatre teacher just trying to honor the bard. And when she raps?! Hands down, my favorite moment of the play. Romeo and Juliet hit the bullseye as lovestruck adolescents blinded by hormones and angst.
What I didn't like
The welcoming speech was confusing. The director/writer said this was a serious piece. It threw me off, making me think something foreboding was about to happen.
My overall impression
A fast and hilarious peek into the dangers of introducing Romeo and Juliet to teenagers.
