It was a wonderful time, and it was easy laughing with Ariel. There was never any awkwardness, even when there seemed to be a technical issue. It just all felt natural and joyful.
What I didn't like
My only note would be I saw a few traditional nervous ticks that kept cropping up – laughing at himself, pushing his hair back, etc. I’m not sure if they were intentional or not, as this was a very self-aware show, but if it was truly nerves, that could be something to be aware of.
My overall impression
An excellent comedy set, Ariel’s charm makes it absolutely impossible not to smile. His self-awareness and genre-savvy takes on depression, oppression, and loneliness hit your gut as much as they tickle your funny bone.
