Whitefolks Weber - A Colorful Tale of The District

Solo Show · maison musique · Ages 17+ · United States of America

Content Warning one person show

Musician/performer Esquizito conjures up just some of the notorious characters of “The District” in an adaptation of a Danny Barker (1909-1994) tale from The Last Days of Storyville. Interpreting Barker’s ‘lies embellished with truth,’ Esquizito makes New Orleans’ redlight district and the birth of Jazz come alive. He is happy to bring this rare work as he returns to HFF – the heroic story of Whitefolks Weber who by a strange twist of fate became, “one of New Orleans’ most noted gamblers and ladies’ men.”

Note: box office/house opens 2 mins. before curtain time. Late comers admitted.
